She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Riverside, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She completed advanced periodontal training at New York University, with a clinical focus on evidence based care and modern surgical and nonsurgical treatment techniques.
